Silver Pines Church Hill Guide

Game files checked October 8, 2026 · Build 25806663

Church Hill is the hillside district west of Downtown Silver Pines: the St Adjutor Parish Church and its tower, the Funeral Home, the Florist, the Cemetery, the Parish Hall and, down by the water, Chuck Dock and the Lighthouse. In the full game's files, build 25806663, it holds 21 rooms, 65 map areas and 62 items, documents and containers. Most of the area turns on two chains, the Cemetery Key and the three Metal Cubes for the church tower gate, both explained below.

Silver Pines Church Hill: keys, cubes and the tower

The tower gate, the Funeral Home keypad and a crate at the dock all have fixed answers on the Silver Pines puzzle solutions page. For the rest of the game, start at the Silver Pines guide hub.

  • Cemetery Key: it opens the Cemetery gate on Upper Church Hill. The game files give it no pickup spot; a walkthrough finds it in a coffin in a locked ground-floor room of the Funeral Home.
  • Three Metal Cubes for the church tower gate: one inside the church, one in the Cemetery and one on the Funeral Home's ground floor. The gate already holds a fourth.

Cemetery Key No pickup spot in the files; see belowThe Cemetery gate on Upper Church HillBadly burned key to the cemetery gate on Church Hill.

Two of these keys are not lying anywhere in the game's map data, so the files alone do not say where you get them. Walkthroughs written on a review build before launch fill the gap:

  • Funeral Home Family Key. Walkthroughs disagree. One finds it in the back room of the Florist, behind the counter, through a wall you break. Another reaches it over the roof of the building next to the Funeral Home. Either way, it opens the living quarters on the Funeral Home's second floor.
  • Cemetery Key. One walkthrough takes it from a coffin in a locked room on the Funeral Home's ground floor. You reach that room from above: through the Family Key door upstairs, then down a large hole in the second-floor floor. The door out of that room then opens a shortcut back to the entrance.

The Attic Key lies in the same upstairs living quarters as the Funeral Home Code document. Its door on the third floor is next to the room with the Swedish K SMG and two 9mm Cartridges.

Metal Cubes, codes and clues in Church Hill

The church tower is the area's main lock. Walkthroughs describe its gate as a row of four rotating cubes: one already hangs on the chain, and three slots are empty. The game describes each Metal Cube as a cube adorned with religious symbols, with a hole running through it for fitting it onto something. The game files place the three missing cubes here:

  1. Inside the church, in the room past the main hall.
  2. In the Cemetery. Walkthroughs report that this cube comes up from the well: fit the Crank Handle into the well's diamond-shaped socket. The game describes the Crank Handle's end as shaped like a diamond.
  3. On the Funeral Home's ground floor. Walkthroughs report that it comes out of the cremation machine, and that the Mortician's Ledger in the basement says which casket to use.

Once all four cubes are on the gate, they have to be turned to the right symbols. Walkthroughs point to a poster of Father Jacob Foster just inside the Funeral Home: the necklace he wears shows the pattern, and taking a photo of it keeps the clue on your map. The arrangement itself, and the steps for the cremation machine, are on the Silver Pines puzzle solutions page.

The other two code locks:

  • Funeral Home stairwell keypad. The door to the stairwell and basement uses a keypad. Its clue is the Funeral Home Code document in the upstairs living quarters together with the price list in the Florist, according to walkthroughs.
  • Crate in the Fishing shack at the dock. A combination-locked crate.

The codes for both are on the puzzle solutions page.

What each place in Church Hill holds

Items and documents use the game's own English names. Containers are listed by count only, because what a container holds varies. Places without a name in the game are grouped under the named place they belong to.

Bus Depot

A Battery and one container, and one more container inside the parked bus. Walkthroughs report a payphone here for saving.

Parish Hall

The Flower Shop Key and three containers. Walkthroughs report a padlocked side room you can break into, with a coffee pot that guides describe as a stamina upgrade and the Church Hill map.

Chapel Grounds and the church

On the Chapel Grounds: the Confession Key. Inside the church: a Metal Cube and two containers. The confession booth holds nothing to pick up. At the top of the church tower: the Diary Page document.

Funeral Home

Across its floors: the Funeral Home Dossier document, a Tonic (Antidote), a Metal Cube on the ground floor, and ten containers. On the third floor: the Swedish K SMG and two 9mm Cartridges. In the basement: a Bottle and the Dice Pair artifact. In the stairwell: Gasoline. In the upstairs living quarters: the Attic Key, the Funeral Home Code document and two containers. The Mortician's Ledger has no map spot in the files; walkthroughs find it on a table in the basement.

Florist

Three containers. The game calls the shop the Ashbrook Florist.

Upper Church Hill

Cemetery

A Sledgehammer, a Metal Cube, the Old Corsage and Bloody Corsage artifacts, and four containers. The game describes the Sledgehammer as able to demolish cracked barriers; walkthroughs report it leaning against the well, and a cracked wall in the Cemetery leading to a greenhouse with herbs.

Below the main street

In a ruined house, behind a cracked wall: the Crank Handle. On the shore nearby: the Journal of Father Foster document and one container.

Chuck Dock

The Damaged Compass artifact, .223 Full Metal Jacket and .38 Bullets. By the dock: Gasoline and one container. In the Fishing shack at the dock: the S-1 Carbine, one container and the combination-locked crate.

Lighthouse

Magnetic Slugs, a Bottle and one container. On the Boat near the Lighthouse: .223 Full Metal Jacket. Walkthroughs reach the Lighthouse through a door below the west end of the main street.

Every point is also on the Silver Pines interactive map.

Getting into and through Church Hill

Church Hill connects only to Downtown, from Chuck Dock and from the lower street. Walkthroughs report that the drawbridge from Downtown is raised when you first reach it. You cross the water to the Bus Depot side and lower the bridge from a control panel up a ladder, which links the two areas for good.

Inside the area, walkthroughs follow much the same order:

  1. Parish Hall first. Take the Flower Shop Key and break into the side room for the map.
  2. The church. Check the tower gate on the Chapel Grounds, then take the Metal Cube inside.
  3. The Funeral Home. Photograph the poster just inside the door. The doors on the right are locked for now.
  4. The Florist. Open it with the Flower Shop Key and note the price list.
  5. Back to the Funeral Home, upstairs. Collect the Funeral Home Dossier and the Funeral Home Code document, then drop through the hole for the Cemetery Key.
  6. The Cemetery. Open the gate and take the Sledgehammer.
  7. The Crank Handle. Go back to the street, drop down on the left and break into the ruined house. Then use the crank on the Cemetery well for the second cube.
  8. The Funeral Home stairwell. Open the keypad door, read the Mortician's Ledger in the basement and get the last cube from the cremation machine.
  9. The tower. Fit and turn the cubes, climb to the top for the Diary Page and ring the bell.

Walkthroughs report that ringing the bell starts a fight in the church against several waves of enemies, with no boss, after which you pick up Cable Station Bell (B). For how Church Hill fits into the whole game, see the Silver Pines walkthrough.

Version notes and limits

This page describes the full release, build 25806663. The walkthroughs it draws on were written on a review build before launch. Where they disagree with the game files, the files win. One walkthrough counts four cubes to find, but the files hold three.

Three things are still open:

  • where the Cemetery Key is picked up, which rests on a single walkthrough;
  • where the Funeral Home Family Key is picked up, where walkthroughs disagree;
  • whether you need the Attic Key's third-floor door on the way through.

This page is checked again once launch-day playthroughs reach Church Hill.
