Silver Pines Walkthrough

Demo route checked October 3, 2026 · Demo build 23642600

This Silver Pines walkthrough covers the free Demo, which is also the opening of the full game: the Outskirts and the Crimson Bear Motel. The route runs from the diner where Walker wakes up to the ferry where the Demo ends, crossing between the two areas several times.

Silver Pines walkthrough: the Demo from start to finish

Silver Pines is not split into chapters. A developer said in June 2026 that once you are past the Outskirts you are free to explore the whole town, so this walkthrough is organised by area. Each area guide lists every item, key and door; this page gives the order players follow and what to do when the ending won't trigger.

For everything else on the game, start at the Silver Pines guide hub.

Silver Pines walkthrough by area

  • Outskirts: the Miner Diner, Rodney's General Store and the Pharmacy, the ferry, the shore, the underpass and the tunnels. Where the Underpass Key, the Boxcutter and two Hip Bags are, and which places stay closed in the Demo.
  • Crimson Bear Motel: the gate, the Game Room, the pool, the Grizzly Suite and the Gift Shop. Where the revolver, the shotgun and the Grizzly Suite Keycard are, and why Room 3 stays shut.

The full game adds the rest of the town after the October 8, 2026 launch, and this list grows with it.

Silver Pines Demo route step by step

Player walkthroughs follow much the same order. Places and keys use the game's own names; codes and numbers are on the Silver Pines demo page, and some codes differ per save.

  1. Search the Miner Diner, then take the camera from the trunk of Walker's car.
  2. Answer the payphone outside the diner. The call sets up the case.
  3. Get the Underpass Key from the back of the Pharmacy.
  4. Search Rodney's General Store, where you pick up the Boxcutter and solve the store's keypad door.
  5. Go through the underpass. Players report a tarp in the tunnel that the Boxcutter cuts through. The Underpass Key opens the gate on the Motel Road.
  6. Get past the motel gate with the guest number from your own Motel Guest Ledger.
  7. Win the Game Room's shooting gallery for the pool key.
  8. Clear the pool and the Changing Room and take the Grizzly Suite Keycard.
  9. Take the Snub .38 Revolver from the Grizzly Suite.
  10. Get the W-500 Shotgun from the Gift Shop. The locker code comes from a phone call to a guest room.
  11. Backtrack to the padlocks you passed. Previews and walkthroughs report that firearms break padlocks, and Demo Patch 2 lets the shotgun break wooden barricades.
  12. Follow the story to the Rabbit Hole, the bar where Eddie Velvet performs. Players describe reaching it by turning off a light switch rather than through a door.
  13. Pick up the key on the basement desk before you leave. See the next section if you skip it.
  14. Answer the phone near the motel entrance, then head into the tunnel for the boss fight.
  15. Use the Ferry Office Key and call the ferry from the Ferry Office.

Steps 1–5 are covered in detail in the Outskirts guide, and steps 6–10 in the Crimson Bear Motel guide.

If the Silver Pines Demo ending won't trigger

The most common way to get stuck is after the concert at the Rabbit Hole: nobody calls, and the tunnel is empty. Players on the Steam forum traced this to a key on a basement desk. If you leave without it, the story does not move on.

  • No phone call after the concert: go back and pick up the key on the basement desk.
  • The tunnel is empty: same cause. Get the key, then return.
  • The Ferry Office won't open: you need the Ferry Office Key, which the game files list as the key to the ferry service in the Outskirts.

Players also report that the phone call near the motel entrance gives a free autosave before the tunnel fight, so you don't need to spend a coin to save there.

How the Silver Pines Demo ends

After the Rabbit Hole, the route returns to the Outskirts. Players report that the tunnel holds the Demo's boss fight and that the boss drops a memento. Past the tunnel, you open the Ferry Office and use its radio to call the ferry; starting the ferry ends the Demo with "to be continued".

Before the tunnel, save if you can, reload both firearms and carry healing. Previews and guides describe ammo as scarce, so go into the tunnel stocked up.

Version notes and limits

This walkthrough follows the Demo, build 23642600. The order comes from player walkthroughs and is the order most players take, not the only one: the game lets you backtrack, and the full game opens up after the Outskirts. Two things are still open: exactly where each ferry key is picked up, and whether the full game's opening matches the Demo route. Both are checked after the October 8, 2026 launch, when this series grows to cover the rest of the town.

Silver Pines walkthrough FAQ

What is the order of the Silver Pines Demo?

Diner, payphone, Pharmacy, General Store, underpass, motel gate, Game Room, pool, Grizzly Suite, Gift Shop, then back through the Outskirts to the Rabbit Hole, the tunnel boss and the ferry. That is the order player walkthroughs follow.

Why doesn't anyone call me after the concert?

You probably left the key on the basement desk behind. Players on the Steam forum report that picking it up lets the story continue to the phone call and the tunnel.

How does the Silver Pines Demo end?

With a boss fight in the tunnel, then a radio call from the Ferry Office. Starting the ferry ends the Demo with "to be continued", according to player walkthroughs.

Where is the ferry key?

The game files list a Ferry Office Key that opens the Ferry Office. Players also report a key on a basement desk that the ending needs; it is not settled whether these are one key or two.

Does my Demo progress carry over?

No. A developer said Demo saves will not carry over to the full game.
