Silver Pines is a single-player survival horror metroidvania from Wych Elm and Team17, out October 8, 2026 on PC and consoles. What is Silver Pines?
Silver Pines is a survival horror metroidvania set in small-town America, developed by Wych Elm and published by Team17. It is a single-player game, and Steam lists it under Indie. You play private investigator Red Walker, who comes to Silver Pines, a half-abandoned town in the middle of nowhere, to track down Eddie Velvet, a musician who has vanished.
The Steam page pitches it as classic survival horror: you fight or avoid the town's monsters, scavenge scarce resources, solve the puzzles that block your way, and reach more of the town as you find better tools and weapons. Inventory space is limited.
The developers said in July 2026 that they are a five-person team, and they have named Silent Hill 1 and 2, Resident Evil 1 and 2, Alan Wake and Max Payne among the games that inspired Silver Pines. Before launch, the developers estimated the main story at about 12–14 hours, with more to do after it.
Steam lists ten languages: English, French, German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Portuguese (Brazil) and Russian. Full audio is in English only.
