What is the answer to the statue puzzle?
Put a statue on all six pedestals. Then, standing between the rows facing the door and counting from placing, use the left row 2, 7 and 7 times and the right row 1, 1 and 7 times, nearest the door first.
To solve the statue puzzle in the Deep Dish Dungeon full game, first put a statue on all six pedestals, then turn each one the right number of times.
Stand between the two rows of statues, facing the door they lead to, and use each statue this many times, counting from when it was placed:
The door opens the moment the last statue is right. There is no lever to pull. Only five statues can be carried to the pedestals, so you make the sixth at the Statue Mold from 16 Clay.

How we know this. No stream or guide we checked had reached this puzzle, so these rules come from how the full game's files and code set up the pedestals, the statues and the door, not from a run we played. Two players on the Steam forums describe the same solution as facings, which you can use as a cross-check.

The game gives this puzzle no name, so we call it the statue puzzle. You will know it by six pedestals in two rows of three, lined up in front of a closed door. The game calls each pedestal a Statue, and the stone figures you put on them are Statues too.
Players on the Steam forums call this part of the dungeon the crypt or the catacombs, and describe the door as a door with snake heads. They also mention a pattern on the floor that the statues should follow. Where the puzzle sits in the dungeon, and what the floor pattern looks like, are not confirmed yet. You do not need to read the pattern to use the answer on this page.
This is not the set of four statues by the Sanctuary Door, which take gems instead; that one has its own Sanctuary Door guide.
All six pedestals start empty, and an empty pedestal does nothing when you use it. Pick up one of the stone statues lying around this part of the dungeon and carry it onto a pedestal. As soon as the statue reaches it, the pedestal takes it from your hands, and the statue now stands on the pedestal.
Two things to know before you start:
You do not need the Snake Statue item for this puzzle. Nothing in the game files links it to these pedestals; it is a separate treasure, listed in our items table under Snake Statue. The pedestals take the plain stone statues found nearby.
There are six pedestals but, in the game files, only five statues you can carry: three stand close to the pedestals and two beside the Statue Mold. The Statue Mold makes the rest.
Handle these statues with care. The two by the mold, and every statue the mold makes, break easily if they hit something or fall. A broken statue is gone for good. Each new statue takes another 16 Clay.
Each time you use a statue on its pedestal, it turns one step, always the same way. Eight uses bring it all the way round to where it started. You cannot turn a statue back.
Stand between the two rows, facing the door. Counting from when each statue was placed:
The order does not matter, and a wrong setting just leaves the door shut. What counts is where all six end up.
Two players on the Steam Community discussions on October 14, 2026 gave the same solution as directions. With the closed door straight ahead as north, the left row from the door back faces south, north-east and north-east, and the right row faces north-west, north-west and south-west. Their facings agree with the counts above, so you can use them to check a statue by eye.
Placed statues and their turns stay in your save, so leaving or loading the game does not reset them. The counts above only line up with statues nobody has turned since placing them.
If you know how many times a statue has been used, count on from there: eight uses make a full turn. For example, the left statue nearest the door needs 2. If it has been used 3 times, use it 7 more times, which makes 10, a full turn plus 2.
If you do not know, turn each statue until it faces the way the players above describe. A wrong statue costs you nothing except the door staying shut.
As soon as the sixth statue reaches its right setting, the door in front of the rows opens. You do not pull a lever or use anything else, and the door stays open after that. It is this door that opens, not one of the sliding doors nearby.
We have not seen what lies behind the door yet; we will add it once footage of the opened door is available. If you are working through the dungeon's other puzzle doors, our Circle Door guide covers the door with three circles, and our Queen's Door guide covers the door that takes three dishes.
You could not find the statue puzzle in the free demo, Steam build 23712006. The demo had no statue pedestals, no Statue Mold and no snake-head door in the dungeon, so this puzzle could not be played before the full game.
Still open: where the puzzle is in the dungeon, what the floor pattern looks like and what lies behind the door. We will update this page once footage of the opened door confirms these, or if a patch changes the pedestals, the statues or the Statue Mold.
Put a statue on all six pedestals. Then, standing between the rows facing the door and counting from placing, use the left row 2, 7 and 7 times and the right row 1, 1 and 7 times, nearest the door first.
The pedestal is still empty. A pedestal only turns once a stone statue has been set down on it.
There are only five statues to carry. Make the sixth at the Statue Mold: put in 16 Clay, then use its Handle.
No. The pedestals take the plain stone statues found nearby. Nothing in the game files links the Snake Statue item to them.
It is gone for good. Make another at the Statue Mold with another 16 Clay.
No. Each use turns a statue one step the same way. Keep going: eight uses bring it all the way round.
Either a pedestal is still empty or a statue is not on its right setting. The counts on this page only work from statues nobody has turned since placing them.
We do not know yet. Nobody had published footage of the opened door when we checked.
No. The pedestals, the Statue Mold and the snake-head door are full-game only.
