Deep Dish Dungeon Jaguar Door Guide

Checked October 13, 2026 · Deep Dish Dungeon, Steam build 25902716

To open the Deep Dish Dungeon Jaguar Door you need three Key Pieces, and the only way to get them is to cast them at the big smelter. Each Key Piece has its own mold. Carry a mold to the smelter, add 5 Coal and 8 Scrap Metal, start it, and repeat for the other two molds. The demo never let you open this door; the full game does.

The three pieces share one in-game name, Key Piece, and our items table lists them.

How to cast a Key Piece at the big smelter

Every Key Piece comes out of the big smelter, cast from its own mold. You do this three times, once per mold.

  1. Find a mold. Molds are objects you pick up and carry, not items that go in your bag. The game calls each one a "Mold".
  2. Carry it to the big smelter and set it in place.
  3. Add 5 Coal and 8 Scrap Metal to the smelter.
  4. Start the smelter. It uses up the Coal and Scrap Metal and casts the piece that belongs to that mold.
  5. Pick up the Key Piece and go back for the next mold.

Three casts take 15 Coal and 24 Scrap Metal in total, counted from the 5 and 8 the smelter uses each time. If you still need the Iron Key, that is one more cast at the same smelter with its own mold, so bring enough for four. Our Prison Key guide explains the Iron Key cast and the smelter's messages, including what it says when Coal, Scrap Metal or the mold is missing.

The developers have said materials are randomized through the dungeon, so gather Coal and Scrap Metal as you explore rather than looking for one fixed pile.

Where to find the three molds

All three molds are in the same part of the dungeon as the big smelter and the Jaguar Door. None of them sits on the smelter at the start.

The mold near the Prison Key chest. The game files place one mold close to the small chest that holds the Prison Key. In a launch-day co-op playthrough by Grillmastah, the players found it after opening the Iron Key door. Our Prison Key guide covers that chest.

The mold up high. A second mold sits up high, near the big smelter. The same players found it last: one of them jumped up onto an object in a corner and spotted it, after searching the area for a long time. If you have two pieces and cannot find the last mold, look up.

The mold by another locked door. The game files place the third mold on the far side of the same area, right next to a different locked door, one that needs its own cast key. The launch-day players cast this piece too, but their stream does not say where they found its mold, so this landmark comes from the files alone.

Put the Key Pieces in the Jaguar Door

Once you hold all three Key Pieces, take them to the Jaguar Door and put them in. The door takes one of each piece, and in the full game's files those three pieces are all it asks for.

The Jaguar Door stands right beside the door the Iron Key opens. A developer pointed to that spot in the official Discord on February 11, 2026, and the full game's files still put the two doors side by side, close to the big smelter.

What is behind it. The developers have not described it directly, but when they took it out of the demo on March 4, 2026, their update notes listed "The insides of the Jaguar Door and the Magic Silver Dagger" as one item. The Silver Dagger is also one of the game's Steam achievements; our achievements guide lists it.

The Jaguar Door in the demo

The free demo, Steam build 23712006, did not let anyone open the Jaguar Door. When a player asked on the Steam discussion board on February 25, 2026, a developer replied that it could not be opened in the demo, "Only in the full game." The demo's files show why: the door, the three Key Pieces and all three molds were already there, but one of the molds was switched off, so the third piece could never be cast. The developers had also taken out what lies behind the door, as their March 4, 2026 update notes say. Our demo guide covers the rest of the demo.

Version notes and limits

Still open: whether the door needs the pieces in a set order, whether a mold stays on the smelter after a cast, a landmark from play for the third mold, and what else lies behind the Jaguar Door and where it leads. We will update this page once we have checked these in play.

Deep Dish Dungeon Jaguar Door FAQ

How do you open the Jaguar Door in Deep Dish Dungeon?

Put three Key Pieces in it. You cast each one at the big smelter from its own mold, using 5 Coal and 8 Scrap Metal per cast.

Where do you get the Key Pieces?

Only from the big smelter. In the full game's files no chest, enemy drop or loose pickup gives a Key Piece; each one is cast from its own mold.

How much Coal and Scrap Metal do the Key Pieces cost?

5 Coal and 8 Scrap Metal for each cast, so 15 Coal and 24 Scrap Metal for all three pieces. The Iron Key is one more cast at the same price.

Where are the molds for the Key Pieces?

All three are in the same part of the dungeon as the big smelter: one near the chest that holds the Prison Key, one up high near the smelter, and one beside another locked door on the far side of the area.

Can you carry the molds?

Yes. Molds are objects you pick up and carry to the smelter; they do not go in your inventory.

What is behind the Jaguar Door?

The developers have not said directly. When they removed it from the demo in March 2026, their update notes listed "The insides of the Jaguar Door and the Magic Silver Dagger" together.

Can you open the Jaguar Door in the demo?

No. A developer said it opens only in the full game, and one of its three molds was switched off in the demo's files. Our demo guide covers what the demo does include.
