What is Nomad Drive?
Nomad Drive is a survival driving game set in a procedurally generated post-apocalyptic world. You start with a rundown RV, repair and upgrade each part until it runs, then drive wherever you like, scavenging abandoned houses, gas stations and roadside wrecks for fuel, water, food and parts. Inside the RV you cook what you find, grow seeds in pots, make coffee and furnish the living space; outside you dig up buried treasure, fix what breaks and keep the engine, battery and radiator alive. It is developed and published by Indie Devil, a small independent team.

There are no enemies to fight. The demo's game files, Steam build 25361176, contain no enemy or combat class, and the developer said in the official Nomad Drive Discord in January 2025 that zombies or infected enemies are not planned; the challenge comes from hunger, thirst, poison, the weather and the state of your RV. The producer described the design in October 2025 as closer to The Long Drive, with the difference that the RV is almost fully customizable and every object can be picked up and used.
The free demo has been on Steam since June 15, 2026 and is still available. In the demo you repair and start your first RV, then work through objectives such as keeping the engine running, cooking and planting, digging up a treasure, patching yourself up and curing poisoning; it covers one biome, the desert, as the developer confirmed in September 2026. On Steam the demo has a Mostly Positive rating from 1,575 player reviews as of October 9, 2026. Demo saves do not carry over to the Early Access version, so plan on starting fresh at launch; what the Early Access build adds is tracked on our Nomad Drive roadmap page.
There is no mobile version: Steam lists Windows only, and no console version has a date. The Steam page carries the Full controller support label, and the developer said on Discord on September 19, 2026 that gamepad support arrives with the Early Access launch; players on the Steam forums reported that the demo does not respond to a controller.
Steam is the only store for the PC version, and the Nomad Drive demo is a separate free listing on Steam; the official announcements on Steam and the official Nomad Drive Discord are where the developers post news. The links below take you to each of them.
