Deep Dish Dungeon circle door: the answer
New to the game? Start at the Deep Dish Dungeon guide hub.
- Small Circle: use it 4 times.
- Medium Circle: use it 1 time.
- Large Circle: use it 1 time. Using it 7 or 14 times also works.
- Then: pull the Lever. The door checks the circles only when you pull it.
If any circle is wrong when you pull the Lever, a Skeleton Warrior wakes up and attacks.
How we know this. Nobody had published footage of this door opening when we checked, so these rules come from how the full game's files and code set up the three circles, the Lever and the Skeleton Warrior, not from a run we played. The counts start from where the circles sit before anyone turns them. The symbols on the circles and the riddle near the door are not confirmed yet.

How to recognise the circle door and its riddle
The game gives this door no name, so we call it the circle door. You will know it by the three circles set into it, which the game names the Small Circle, the Medium Circle and the Large Circle, and by a Lever beside it.
One player on the official Behold Studios Discord described it on October 14, 2026, the day after launch: a door with a code and a riddle, in a room above the plants that explode. They had not solved it. None of the launch-day streams we checked reached this door.
Where the door sits in the dungeon, and where the riddle is and what it says, are not confirmed yet. You do not need the riddle to use the answer on this page, as long as nobody has turned the circles yet.
How to turn the three circles
Each time you use a circle, it turns one step, always in the same direction. You cannot turn a circle back. Once it has gone all the way round, it is back where it started: the Small Circle takes 5 steps for a full turn, the Medium Circle 8 and the Large Circle 23.
Starting from circles nobody has touched:
- Use the Small Circle 4 times.
- Use the Medium Circle 1 time.
- Use the Large Circle 1 time. The Large Circle accepts three positions: 1, 7 or 14 turns from where it starts all count as right.
- Pull the Lever (see below).
The order you turn them in does not matter. What matters is how far each circle has turned in total when you pull the Lever.
If you overshoot, keep going: a circle you have turned once too often has to go all the way round to come back. For example, a Small Circle you have used 5 times is back at the start, so 4 more uses put it right again.
If you have already turned the circles
The circles keep their position in your save, so leaving the area or loading the game does not reset them. If you, or someone you play with, turned the circles before reading this, the counts above no longer line up with where they are now.
This page cannot tell you how many more turns you need from an unknown position: we have no footage showing which symbol each step of a circle shows. If you know exactly how many times each circle has been used, count on from there, going round again where needed. Otherwise you have to work it out by trying.
Trying has one cost: every time you pull the Lever with a wrong setting, the Skeleton Warrior is woken up again if it is down. It does not cost you anything else, and the circles stay where you left them.
Pull the Lever to open the door
Turning the circles does not open the door on its own. Once all three are set, pull the Lever beside the door. The door checks the circles every time the Lever moves, whether you pull it up or down.
If all three circles are right, the door opens and stays open. If any one of them is wrong, nothing opens and the Skeleton Warrior wakes up.
We have not seen what lies behind the circle door yet; we will add it once footage of the opened door is available. If you are working through the dungeon's other puzzle doors, our Queen's Door guide covers the door that takes three dishes, and our Sanctuary Door guide covers the door that takes four gems.
The Skeleton Warrior and wrong answers
A Skeleton Warrior lies near the door. At the start it stays down and does not get up on its own, even when you walk past it. Pulling the Lever with a wrong setting wakes it at once, and it attacks. Getting the answer right first time leaves it lying there.
Our enemies table lists the Skeleton Warrior's 135 health and 30 melee damage.
Once it has been woken, it behaves like the other skeletons in the dungeon: when you knock it down, it gets back up after a while if it can see you. A wrong pull while it is down wakes it straight away. If you are trying settings one by one, expect to fight it more than once.
The circle door in the demo
You could not find the circle door in the free demo, Steam build 23712006. The demo had no circle door and none of the three circles in the dungeon, so this puzzle could not be played before the full game.
Version notes and limits
Still open: which symbol each step of the circles shows, where the riddle is and what it says, where the door is in the dungeon, and what lies behind it. We will update this page once footage of the opened door confirms these, or if a patch changes the circles, the Lever or the Skeleton Warrior.
Deep Dish Dungeon circle door FAQ
What is the answer to the circle door?
From circles nobody has touched: use the Small Circle 4 times, the Medium Circle 1 time and the Large Circle 1 time, then pull the Lever beside the door. The Large Circle also counts as right after 7 or 14 uses.
Why won't the door open after I turned the circles?
Either nobody pulled the Lever afterwards, or a circle is not in the right position. The door only checks the circles when the Lever moves, and the counts on this page only work from circles that had not been turned before.
Can you turn a circle back?
No. Each use turns a circle one step in the same direction. To undo a turn, keep turning until it comes round again: 5 steps for the Small Circle, 8 for the Medium and 23 for the Large.
Why did a skeleton appear when I pulled the Lever?
At least one circle was wrong. A wrong setting wakes the Skeleton Warrior near the door. A right setting opens the door instead.
Does the Skeleton Warrior keep coming back?
Yes. After it has been woken once, it gets back up after a while when you knock it down, like the other skeletons, and every wrong pull wakes it if it is down.
Where is the riddle for the circle door?
Not confirmed yet. One player reported a riddle at the door, but not where it is or what it says. You do not need it if the circles are untouched.
What is behind the circle door?
We do not know yet. Nobody had published footage of the opened door when we checked.
Is the circle door in the demo?
No. The circle door and its three circles are full-game only.
