Probably Stolen Customers Guide

Checked October 29, 2026 · Probably Stolen, Steam build 26284217

Probably Stolen customers come from two places. Buyers drawn by what's in your display case arrive first; every other slot is a random customer, who is usually from the Lower Levels unless a Black Market, Upper Levels or Revolution customer is picked instead, and your reputation with those factions decides how often that happens. On top of that, named regulars come on fixed days: Georgio's first visit is day 6, and Dr. Jackson comes every seven days from day 12.

Who comes to your shop in Probably Stolen

For what the game is and every guide we publish, start at the Probably Stolen guide hub.

  • First two weeks: with the intro on, none of the faction customers below come before day 14; until then you get display-case buyers, the tutorial's visitors and, from day 11, one-off visitors.
  • Phone numbers: each contact's number is printed on their business card; Joe Wild's is 8376.
  • Tourists: they buy food, water and substances, and a Tourist Influx brings extra ones.

Why nobody is coming, and how a day's customers are picked

Customers are decided the moment you open the shutter. Buyers called in by the merchandise in your display case are added first; then random customers fill the rest of the day's slots. How many slots you get and how much customers can spend come from your store attractiveness, which is covered in our store attractiveness tiers, and which buyers the case brings is in what to put in the display case.

The first two weeks are quiet on purpose. If you play with the intro on, none of the faction customers in the table below come until day 14: before that you see the buyers your display case attracts, the visitors the tutorial schedules for you and, from day 11, one-off visitors. One-off visitors are characters who each come once per run: one a day for the first five days they appear, then less and less often. If you chose Skip Intro when starting a run, which the game describes as skipping all introductions and customer tutorial encounters (some starts skip it for you), faction customers can come from day 2 and one-off visitors from day 3. So an empty shop in week one usually means an empty display case, not a broken game.

After that, attractiveness sets the number. Random slots come from your store attractiveness: below 200 there are none at all, and the tiers on the display-case page add more.

Sending customers away. The bell lets you "Dismiss the current customer and call the next one", and the shutter button will "Dismiss all remaining customers and end the day". If the customer is on the Security Wanted List, press the alarm under your counter instead: how reporting pays and what a false report costs is in our wanted list guide.

Probably Stolen customers by faction: who buys what

For each random slot, the game first checks the Black Market, then the Upper Levels, then the Revolution; if none of them comes up, the customer is from the Lower Levels. In the game code, Black Market customers turn up more often once your Black Market reputation reaches 25 and again at 50, and less often while it is below zero; Upper Levels customers become more common at 25 and 50 Upper Levels reputation; Revolution customers do the same at 0, 25 and 50 Revolution reputation and stop coming entirely if the Revolution blacklists you.

Random customers in each faction's pool, with the item types they buy as the game names them. The Upper Level Pharmacist turns up through the Lower Levels pool.
FactionCustomerWhat they buySells to you?

Upper Levels Upper Level VisitorSubstance, or Luxury ItemNo
Upper Levels TouristFood, Water, Water Ration, SubstanceNo
Upper Levels Upper Level Citizen—Yes
Revolution Revolutionary FighterWeapon, Munition, Ammunition, MedicalNo

Two patterns are worth knowing. The poorest visitors, the bartering scavs, the Junker, the Pale Scav and the thieves, show up less as your attractiveness passes 400 and 650, which matches the game's own tier text that poor customers become less likely. And three different random customers buy weapons; who else pays for guns is in our guide to who buys guns.

Probably Stolen tourists: what they buy and when they come

The Tourist is an Upper Levels visitor who "took a wrong lift or two" and finds the Lower Levels charmingly gritty. Tourists buy Food, Water, Water Ration and Substance. They are not a faction you can earn reputation with; the game's faction list has no tourist entry.

More arrive during the Tourist Influx event, whose news item reads: "A cruise ship has docked in the Upper Levels, unloading a wave of tourists." For the event's two days, one extra tourist comes each day: either a Tourist, or a Station Tourist looking for a weapon, or a Station Tourist after Material, Makeshift and Junk souvenirs. Watch the news and stock those types before you open.

Probably Stolen Georgio: visit days and what he brings

Georgio, "the GREATEST scavenger in the Lower Levels", has a fixed storyline. He comes on these days:

Georgio's scheduled visits, from the game code; descriptions from his dialogue.
DayWhat he brings, in his words
6 Relics from an ancient alien civilization
9 His own invention, "the water of tomorrow"
12 His old backpack, at a discount
15 Paid help at the Dumping Ground for a few nights (not if your starting perk is Maimed)
18 Cigarettes he swears are 100% genuine
22 Goods from the Upper Levels at 25% off
27 Liquid Luck; the first one is free
32 His last batch of Liquid Luck
37 More finds ("Good scavs never reveal his spots!")
43 A request for Credits to finish his space ship

If you lend him the Credits on day 43, he comes back weeks later (at least 25 days), "returned from the stars", and pays you back with interest. He also makes one extra visit if you dump radioactive waste: what happens then is in our radioactive waste guide.

These days, like the other story visits below, apply to a normal run. In Endless Mode the game says certain scripted events and customers will not spawn, and Georgio's storyline is one of them.

Probably Stolen Dr. Jackson: when he visits and what he sells

Dr. Jackson, the inventor who "used to deal with the previous tenant of this shop", visits every seven days starting on day 12: days 12, 19, 26, 33 and so on. If you earn the reputation perk Shunned, he stops coming; the perk's text says "Dr. Jackson will no longer visit your Store, except under special circumstances", and all suppliers refuse your calls.

What he buys: Material items, and corrupted or ruined system modules.

What he sells: his stock changes from visit to visit and grows as you unlock things in Joe Wild's network. It can include backpacks, Storage Bays, Machine Bays and expansion kits, machines such as the Fridge and PowerBloc, machine and hydroponic modules, Neon Signs, appraisal tools and guides like the Magnifying Glass and the Food Stamp Identification Handbook, and the Cryptographic Desequencer with its chips and blank keycards. Which keycards and chips open which crates is in our guide to getting keycards. When you visit him after hours you choose from the same kind of stock.

Storage on his off days. On days he isn't due, Dr. Jackson can turn up with a custom order "the client never came to pick up". In the game code he offers a Storage Bay (Extended) from day 12 and a Machine Bay (Expanded) from day 30, but only when you have at least 850 or 1,200 Credits respectively; your second and third of each unlock later (days 40 and 70 for storage, 55 and 85 for machine bays), and he stops once you own three. What each bay holds is in our inventory guide.

Odin, Officer Lun, Eleanor and other story customers

Odin Haraldsson is on the Security Wanted List. If you hear him out instead of pressing the alarm, he asks for "guns, ammo, armor, poison, supply crates and access cards", warns that "Contraband is no issue for us, but we won't pay you as much as you might get elsewhere", and gives you a green business card with his number. Report him or let Security take him, and his number stops answering.

Officer Lun visits on days 11, 12 and 16. On day 13 a Lower Level Citizen comes in trying to sell "some stuff" he found. What happens on days 20 and 24 depends on how the earlier visits went.

Eleanor comes on days 23, 25 and 27, and her uncle on day 28; her later visits depend on your choices.

Probably Stolen phone numbers and business cards

Every number you can call is printed on a business card. Dial it on the shop telephone; once you have called someone, they appear in your phone book for Quick Dial.

  • Business Card (Red Imp Brewery)
  • Business Card (Green)

51189 Odin HaraldssonOdin himself (see above)Buys guns, ammo, armor, poison, supply crates and access cards

Why nobody answers. A number gets "No Answer" until you hold that contact's card, and also while that person is standing in your shop. With the Shunned perk, the four suppliers (Red Imp, Caulson, Dale and Ashish) refuse every call. After you use a contact's service they need a few days before you can use it again (in the game code: four days for Red Imp and Ashish, five for Caulson and Odin, seven for Dale), and the night log tells you when a contact is ready. Prices and prerequisites for the network entries are on our Joe Wild network table.

Version notes and limits

This page doesn't list what each seller has for sale (except Dr. Jackson's range), how much customers can spend, or the odds behind random customers: we read the rules, not the dice. Cadet Serpico's storyline and Eleanor's later visits depend on earlier choices and are not mapped here. We will update this page if a patch changes who visits.

Probably Stolen customers FAQ

Why are there so few customers in my first days?

With the intro on, faction customers don't come before day 14, and one-off visitors only start on day 11; until then the display case is your main source of buyers. After that, you need at least 200 store attractiveness for any random customers.

Who buys what in Probably Stolen?

It depends on the customer: Spacers buy Food or Household Goods, Miners and Junkers buy Substances, Shady Merchants buy Contraband and Access Cards, and Mercenaries and Revolutionary Fighters buy weapons and ammunition. The full list is in the faction table above.

Is the Tourist a faction?

No. Tourists show up as Upper Levels visitors and during a Tourist Influx, but there is no tourist reputation to raise.

When does Georgio come?

On days 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 22, 27, 32, 37 and 43 of a normal run, with something new to sell or ask each time.

When does Dr. Jackson visit my shop?

Every seven days from day 12 (days 12, 19, 26 and so on), unless you have the Shunned perk.

What are the phone numbers?

Joe Wild's Assistant 8376, Red Imp Rep. 8815, Caulson 56371, Dale 4615, Ashish 3319 and Odin Haraldsson 51189. Each is printed on that contact's business card.

Why does nobody answer the phone?

You need the contact's business card first. They also won't answer while they are in your shop, suppliers refuse calls if you have the Shunned perk, and Odin stops answering after you report him.
