Official sources
The developer's own store pages and channels. Pages also cite the official Probably Stolen Discord, where the developers post patch notes and answer players; Discord messages are named by date and are not linked, because they can only be read after joining the server.
How we read the game files
Values read from the game files come from the Probably Stolen Demo, Steam build 25382790 (the public branch updated September 18, 2026), extracted on October 18, 2026 from a local installation. We read the starting scenarios, the start-screen labels and which starts the demo allows, the in-game manuals, the item descriptions for water, testing and purification, the ending texts, and the dialogue of the waste customer and Georgio, together with the game code that decides how dumped radioactive waste is counted, when Georgio brings it back and how the trash and the counter handle it. They describe the demo only: the full game had not been released when they were read, and something existing in the files does not mean the demo enables it.
How each evidence label is used, how conflicting sources are handled and how to report a mistake are explained in the Editorial Policy.
