Prices and platform plans are the developers' pre-launch statements; the store shows the final price on November 3.
Early Access opens at 1 p.m. EST on November 3, 2026, which is 18:00 UTC. The official Loftia FAQ gives that time, the Loftia Steam page stores 18:00 UTC as the release time for the listing, and the developers' October 19 announcement in the official Loftia Discord gives the same date.
Converted for November 3, that is:
The US leaves daylight saving time on November 1, two days before launch, so the times above are standard time. If you check a converter in October, it may show an hour later for the US than it will be on the day.
Can you pre-order or pre-load? Not on Steam or Epic. In September 2026 a developer said in the official Loftia Discord that there were no plans for pre-purchases and that the game becomes available to buy on November 3, when it goes live. Until then, you can wishlist it.
Loftia costs $29.99 in the US in Early Access, with regional pricing in other countries. A limited-time 17% launch discount brings it to $24.89. These are the figures in the official Loftia FAQ, checked on October 23, 2026; the price the store shows on November 3 is the one you pay, and this page is updated with the date it was checked.
Is Loftia free to play? No. Loftia is buy-to-play: you pay once and get all of the gameplay. The FAQ says plainly that the game has to be bought because an MMO cannot be developed and run without income.
What you do and do not pay for after that:
Played the demo? You still buy the game. The demo was free, but Early Access is a purchase. What you did in the demo carries over to the copy you buy, as long as your account was linked (see the demo section).
At launch, Loftia runs on Windows PC and Mac, through Steam and the Epic Games Store. You can play with keyboard and mouse or a controller.
Mac. The Loftia Mac version launches on the same day as the PC version. Two limits apply. First, Intel Macs are not supported: a developer said in the official Discord on October 20, 2026 that this is a limitation of Unreal Engine 5.8, the engine the game uses. Second, the developers' known-issues list from the demo says some older Macs, particularly those with less than 16 GB of RAM, may stutter or crash, and recommends Low graphics settings if that happens. That list is from the demo, so the issue may be fixed by launch.
Steam Deck. The official FAQ says Loftia supports Steam Deck. Valve has not published a Deck compatibility rating as of October 23, 2026.
Nintendo Switch. The Loftia Switch version comes in 2027. The developers have not given a month or a date, and a developer said in October 2026 that the team is focusing on PC and Mac first.
Mobile, PlayStation and Xbox. None has been announced as of October 23, 2026. The FAQ says only that the team will aim to support more platforms after the first release.
Cross-play. Not promised yet. The FAQ says cross-play is something the developers are aiming for and still testing, and that they will announce a decision. It also says you need to buy the game on each platform you want to play it on.
Online only. Loftia is an MMO, so you need an internet connection to play on every platform. You can still play it solo; the FAQ says playing alone does not block your progress. Our Loftia multiplayer guide covers servers, regions and playing solo.
The free Loftia demo was part of Steam Next Fest. It opened on October 19, 2026 and closed at 10 a.m. PT (17:00 UTC) on Monday, October 26, when the festival ended, as the developers announced in the official Loftia Discord on October 8 and October 19. It covered the opening Loftia City questline and stopped just before the Hanging Gardens district. The next way to play is Early Access on November 3.
What carries over. According to the official What's in Early Access page and the demo announcements, everything you completed or collected in the demo stays with you: completed quests, collected items, character progression and your player name. If you were stuck partway through the city questline, for example on Ryder's quest, our guide to getting Scrambled Coordinates covers where they come from, and that quest progress carries over too.
You had to link your account. The October 19 announcement says you need to create and link a Loftia account to keep your demo progress and rewards: link your email address on the character-select screen, then log in on the Loftia website. The announcement gives support@loftia.gg as the address for problems with linking your account.
Your Loftia character name. The player name you claimed in the demo carries over, with one condition. If you do not log into Early Access at least once between November 3, 2026 and February 3, 2027, the name is released for other players to claim. Only the name is released; your progress stays.
One character in the demo, more at launch. In the demo you could create only one character. A developer said in the official Discord on October 20, 2026 that the full game allows more characters, and that the demo was limited because names carry over and the team did not want people reserving lots of them.
Demo rewards. Rewards earned in the demo, such as the Demo Banner, also need a linked account to reach Early Access.
Will there be wipes? In September 2026, before the demo came out, a developer answered "no more wipes" in the official Discord. That is a chat reply rather than a published policy, but it matches the official promise that demo progress carries over.
This page covers the days before launch, and three items are still open: the price the stores show on November 3, whether Valve rates the game for Steam Deck, and whether the Epic Games Store opens pre-purchases that Steam does not.
The day before launch and launch day itself, November 3, 2026, trigger a recheck of every fact on this page. A changed price, a new platform date or a Steam Deck rating is added with the date it was checked.

The Steam store page has no AI-generated content disclosure as of October 23, 2026, and the developers have not addressed the question in the sources we checked. That is all the store shows; it is not a statement either way.
